Treburthick House - Facilities

With panoramic views along the beautiful Cornish coastline and down into St Austell Bay, this detached holiday home is set in an acre of landscaped gardens, approximately 300 yards up from the secluded sandy cove of Porthpean, where visitors can paddle, swim or hire a kayak and explore the coastline from the water. Scuba diving is also available along the coast. This large, spacious house has everything in it or nearby for a perfect, quintessential Cornish holiday, including coastal walks, golden beaches, quaint fishing villages such as Mevagissey, where a ferry can be taken to Fowey and National Trust gardens and houses aplenty. The amazing Eden Project and the fascinating Lost Gardens of Heligan are both close by. The area is full of natural and man made attractions that make this a choice destination for all the family or groups of friends, with many farm shops selling local produce for that special meal. A golf course that overlooks the bay is a short walk along the lane and an off-road cycle and walking trail through ancient woodland is nearby. Fowey, with its beautiful estuary, Royal Yacht Club, narrow lanes and historic buildings is a must. Meander along its narrow streets and browse many local shops, galleries and crafts shops whilst planning lunch in cafés and restaurants that overlook the estuary and out to sea. Activities include deep sea fishing, river kayaking, sailing and walking. For a more leisurely affair, a local hotel just minutes from the house has an impressive spa and indoor infinity pool for a day of pampering and relaxation. The dramatic north coast is within easy reach, where visitors can surf, watch the waves or visit many of the pretty harbour villages, such as Padstow, Port Isaac or St Ives, all essential ports of call for visitors to Cornwall. Horse riding, bike hire and surfing are all available nearby. Beach 300 yards. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.

Treburthick House - Reviews

  • Chris - London 19th January 2020

    Our stay January, 2020

We had a great time at Treburthick. The bedrooms are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the open plan arrangement is good so the "chefs" are not cut off from the rest of the group. There are two nice sitting rooms so we could split into 2 groups - we had films in one and games/relaxing in the other. Also enjoyed a game of table tennis. The location is great.

Finding somewhere to suit 4 generations of the family for Christmas is not an easy task. We all agreed though that Treburthick House was perfect. Fabulous views, warm and cosy, yet plenty of room for all, with a sitting room leading off from the huge kitchen/dining room which meant it was perfect for social gatherings. A short walk to the beach too. I could go on, but enough to say that I definitely hope to go back!

An amazing house with fantastic coastal views. Loads of space, well equipped, private, only 10 minute stroll down to lovely beach. Grand place for a family holiday. Easy parking on site, large safe garden for family. Lovely welcome with a huge basket of goodies.

We loved our time at Treburthick again. This is the 3rd year we’ve been, and it has everything and more that our family needs to have a wonderful holiday. The house and garden is perfect for us and the views of the sea are just so lovely. We also love Porthpean beach which is just down the road. We always hope to go back again. Cheryl

The house is absolutely stunning, everything you could possibly need was catered for. We stayed here, as a family, to celebrate my dads 70th birthday, it was fantastic. The views are stunning, and the house is only a matter of a few minutes walk away from a beach, which the dogs loved. On arrival there was a welcome pack, carefully thought out along with fresh flowers, we were all suitable impressed. I would certainly recommend to large families. We are hoping to return one day in the not so distant future, maybe in the summer months, as the outdoor amenities would be fantastic on a hot and sunny day. Thank you for making our stay memorable!
