Local Pub

Britain is well known for its brilliant traditional pubs. A holiday is not complete without a visit to the local pub to try the local ales and ciders and sample award-winning food, with tasty menus offering delicious lunches and dinners made from fresh local produce. Local pubs are an authentic UK experience and are not to be overlooked during your stay in Cornwall.

Many of our holiday cottages are located within towns and villages meaning you won't have far to travel to a pub some being just a short drive/walk away. However, we have a selection of lovely cottages that are literally on the doorstep of the local pub.

Cornwall has many great local pubs, and are found in a variety of locations throughout, situated near to beaches where you can enjoy a cold pint on the patio or beer garden on a warm summer's day; amongst glorious countryside where you can reward yourself with a drink after a long walk or cycle; or in the heart of towns and villages, where you can pop in for a drink after pottering around the narrow streets. In the cold months there is nothing more pleasing than hunkering down in a pub in front of a roaring fire, with a drink in hand a delicious hearty pub lunch.

Local pubs have always been a focal point and the heart of a community, a place where locals come to socialize and this tradition remains to this day. Pubs are a great way to get to meet the friendly locals who will be able to steer you towards what to see and do, and offer insights into less known places that are worth visiting and not on the usual tourist trail. A visit to a pub is the best way to make the most of your holiday here in Cornwall.

Cornwall has a long brewing history and numerous independent breweries producing some fantastic real ales, so you can look forward to tasting some great local ales, beers and ciders in the local pubs and inns.

Traditional pubs are both warm and welcoming and often have lively entertainment in the form of live music or quizzes which, can make for an entertaining and fun night out. Get along and join in the fun. Or perhaps just have a convivial evening over a drink with friends or family in your local pub.

With a pub in close proximity to your holiday cottage you don't need to worry about getting home, no designated driver or having to book a taxi. If you decide after a long and tiring day out and you don't have the energy to cook then pop into the pub and have someone else cook for you, you can just sit back and relax with a tasty meal of course accompanied by a well deserved cold drink.

Having a pub close to where you are staying is a great addition to any holiday, you immediately have somewhere to go to socialize and relax. Just imagine a glorious summers evening in the beer garden of a charming pub with friends or family with a cold glass and feeling the warmth of the setting sun on her skin, life doesn't get much better.
