Stable End - Facilities

Stable End will appeal to small families, couples or friends looking for a relaxing holiday or short break, whatever the season. The property is located in a quiet rural spot ideal for exploring the Cornish countryside and diverse coastline. It lies midway between the South Cornish coast including Falmouth and the beautiful Lizard Peninsula, with hidden coves and pretty harbours, and the rugged North Cornish coastline, famous for its wide surfing beaches.

Stable End is a two storey, semi-detached cottage with surrounding farm buildings in a small rural hamlet. The spacious kitchen/dining room offers a great social space, and the cosy living room boasts a multi-fuel burner, great to snuggle up in front of after a busy day exploring. On the first floor are two good size bedrooms, comprising a main double bedroom with a four poster bed and lovely country side views towards the coast, and a single bedroom, ideal for a child or third adult.

The local area attracts walkers and water sports enthusiasts, with Stithian’s Lake and water sports centre under 4 miles away providing sailing, canoeing, wind surfing and a lovely café. There is a lakeside pub nearby serving great food and local ales.

The vibrant maritime town of Falmouth offers an array of shops, pubs, good choice of restaurants. The famous Maritime Museum is well worth a visit, and there is a popular cinema. The town offers a great calendar of events including a Sea Shanty week in June, and Falmouth Week in August, a celebration of music and food with a carnival atmosphere. There is also the famous oyster festival in October.

Take a small ferry or boat trip to St Mawes, Flushing or a Helford River trip. The area has an abundance of wild life including seals, basking sharks, dolphins and bird life. The historic town of Helston is under 5 miles away with its famous Flora Day in May, while nearby Gweek is home to the seal sanctuary, a great day out for all ages.

A great pub and local stores can be found at nearby Rame Cross, offering conveniences plus a choice of main supermarkets just a short drive away. Beach 8 miles. Shop and pub 1½ miles, restaurant 2½ miles.
