Carthvean Farm - Facilities

Set within the idyllic Cornish countryside and on a County wildlife site and World Heritage site, Carthvean Farm is a stunning holiday destination.
This wonderful farmhouse has many original features and is brimming with character and is perfect for both relaxation and energetic adventures within this beautiful county. Here you can immerse yourself in surroundings including a variety of wildlife, foxes, owls, deer, badgers, buzzards, goats, horses and Alpacas. The owners would be delighted to give you a tour of their fabulous farm, where you can meet the animals and meet some new four-legged friends. The farm has its own solar panels and wind turbine, whilst the wood which fuels the farmhouse’s wood burners is sustainably and responsibly sourced.
The kitchen is very well equipped and has a Rayburn range and a country house feel, with quality wooden furnishings. The living room is both spacious and welcoming with comfortable soft furnishings and a superb wood burner for those chilly nights. A smart TV and Wi-Fi are provided.
The dining room provides plenty of space for all guests to enjoy a home cooked meal, with a touch of splendour, whilst a cosy conservatory invites you to while away the hours with a good book or to sit and plan tomorrow’s day out. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, the master with kingsize bed and en-suite shower and the second with a kingsize bed. There are a further two rooms, one with twin single beds and the other has one single.
The family bathroom has a lovely shower and an original and impressive cast iron claw foot bath. If you can bring yourself to leave and explore; you will find some of the most amazing walks here, one along the bridleway which leads you to a delightful café, offering an amazing variety of dishes, whilst the excellent local pub offers hearty meals and a taste of Cornwall.
Venture even further afield and the many beaches, coves and inlets reveal themselves around the coast, just a short drive away. Breath taking scenery, and far stretching views and stretches of golden sand as far as the eye can see. To the south lies the world-famous Lizard Peninsula, whilst to the west you should visit St Ives, with its beautiful cottages, beaches and art galleries including The Tate. There is so much to discover and enjoy here and it all begins here at Carthvean Farm.
