Zion Cottage - Facilities

Zion Cottage in Gorran Haven is situated in an amazing spot just 300 yards away from the beach and harbour of this picturesque traditional Cornish fishing village. This former fisherman’s cottage is a quirky place to stay as the kitchen and bedrooms are upstairs with the living room and family bathroom downstairs.
Step through the front door into a well-appointed and cosy kitchen/dining room with everything that you will need to enjoy mealtimes and family get togethers. Step across the landing and the first bedroom, with its double bed, is on your right. The second bedroom is situated at the end of the hallway with two twin beds and bunk bed sleeping an additional two small people built into the wall.
Go downstairs to a comfortable living room with plenty of space for a family or group of friends to relax in with the electric fire adding ambience to nights in. Also, downstairs is the bathroom where the owners have made the best use of the space available with a small half bath for children and full-size shower for everyone else. Also, downstairs is the utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
On the beautiful Roseland Peninsula Gorran Haven is ideally located to explore everything that Cornwall has to offer with its numerous beaches, picturesque villages and stunning coastline.
Gorran Haven is 10 miles from the famous Eden Project, 3 miles from the Lost Gardens of Heligan, 3 miles from the working fishing town of Mevagissey and only a 15-mile drive to the picturesque harbours of Fowey and St Mawes in either direction along the coast. It is a 25-mile drive to Newquay and its numerous beaches and 25 miles to the fishing port of Padstow and its famous Rick Stein restaurants.
The village itself has a local shop, cafe next to the beach, and a fish and chip shop making this a great place to stay and enjoy your holiday. For walkers, the South West Coastal Path runs through the village itself with many local points of interest and beautiful views out to sea. The nearby town of St Austell has supermarkets and main high street shops if needed and has a mainline rail station. The cathedral city of Truro is a 25-minute drive.
