Trelawney Cottage - Facilities

Trelawney and Trevithick are two little cottages set in a terrace behind the Great Trethew Manor Country Hotel amidst 40 acres of grounds including woodland walks, horse riding, trout lake and ornamental koi carp ponds. They are ideal for couples looking for a little hidden getaway with simple yet comfortable accommodation. The main A38 trunk road is just a few minutes’ drive away, making exploring Cornwall really very accessible. Across the road in Menheniot, you can catch the train all the way to Penzance.

On site, you can ride through the woods and around the lakes on horse back, ideal for those who are beginners looking to try horse trekking for the first time. For the slightly more adventurous riders, you can book a day of horse riding on the moors to take in the spectacular views, or even a beach ride where you will be able to canter in the surf. Regardless of which experience you go for, this a truly special day out for everybody. Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Trelawney Cottage - Reviews

  • Norman - Southwick 29th September 2019

    Our stay September, 2019

The cottage itself was fine but lacked any laundry facilities or any drying areas or equipment. The general view outside was extremely scruffy and needed a good clean up. The bathroom was a disappointment-shower not fit for purpose ,either freezing cold or boiling hot and the flush on the toilet worked spasmodically. Lids for saucepans would have been nice.
