These pet friendly holiday barns are situated less than half a mile from the stunning north coast of Cornwall. In the heart of this small Cornish hamlet, the barns are furnished and fitted to provide a comfortable base from which to explore the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer. Each barn has a well-equipped kitchen and TV in the main bedrooms, as well as open-plan living. Each has its own sitting-out area, which is ideal for watching the wildlife and al fresco dining. Guests are close to the coastal path and if you walk north, you will reach Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, with its array of shops, pubs and restaurants. A little further on, Boscastle with its picturesque harbour is a must. A small beach can be reached on foot, approximately ½ mile away. Travelling down the coast, guests will come to Port Isaac, where the TV series ’Doc Martin’ is filmed, and further down the coast, visit the beautiful sandy surfing beach at Polzeath and the dunes at Rock where you can take a ferry across to Padstow. From Padstow, with its working harbour, shops, pubs and restaurants, you can hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail to Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin. Close by is Bodmin Moor, unspoilt moorland at its best, and for walkers the tors on the moor are a must. Further down the coast is Newquay, with its famous surfing beaches, Blue Reef Aquarium and Zoo and if you travel to the south coast, you will find Looe, Fowey and Mevagissey, just a few of the charming coastal villages. For cycling enthusiasts, there is a cycle hub at Lanhydrock, with some wonderful forest routes to be taken. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.

Beautiful for scenery and lovely walks also if you like peace and quietness.

Perfect cottage if you want to get away from technology and just enjoy the Cornish countryside. Mobile phone signal is virtually non existent and the Internet is only fast enough for limited browsing. Take plenty of DVDs in case you get rained in. Cottage is in a lovely hamlet setting with a couple of pubs and a small shop about a mile and half drive away. Only a couple of minor points to the cottage, noisy boiler in the second bedroom and carpet in kitchen/lounge area. Not great as it's a dog friendly cottage. Main bedroom. Is lovely. Great place for visiting North Cornwall. The coastal path is on a short walk away with a nearby small beach and about a 2 hour walk to Trebarwith Strand beach that's worth a visit. Path a bit scary in parts. Jamaica Inn also worth a visit and is dog friendly as is most of Cornwall. Plenty of dog friendly beaches. Port Isaac and Bude are also a good places to visit. Would have like to visit Tintagel as its not far away but weather was not great on last day. The set up of cottages is great if you are looking to book multiple cottages for families and friends. Would consider booking again.

This is a lovely little cottage in a cute hamlet. It has easy access to the coastal walk and a brisk walk to the small village of Trebarwith Strand. Tregardock beach is about a 40 minute walk, but be aware that this and the beach at Trebarwith are low tide beaches. Definately a good base for exploring North Cornwall. Delabole is handy for a shop and pub, but it isn't a particularly pretty village. The other thing to bear in mind is that while the cottage has WiFi that works the speed of the internet is very slow. This is not the place for social media obssessed teens. Nor while we were there did the TV in the living room have a signal.

Nice location for northern coast of Cornwall. Close to Delabole for supplies. Pretty little cottage from outside. Internet/wifi was pretty much non existant and tv signal sketchy. Interior was a bit dated. Smelt very 'doggy' in lounge (More than expected). Owners were very nice and polite.

We enjoyed Swallows. very quite and Isolated. It was very well equipped. Good location for Padstow, port Isaac & Boscastle etc. Only criticism is that none of the cottages had any TV signal for the whole day of our arrival. Stayed in Devon and Cornwall for many years and never had this problem. Other than that, i would recommend Swallows.
