Well equipped and comfortable cottage in a rural setting with country walks in either direction. Port Isaac is an easy walk as is Port Gaverne. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the balcony with sea view was lovely. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Felt at home straight away at Swallow Cottage. Had everything we needed, plus a sea view and chicken & ducks, that were fun to watch. Loved our week there and hope it's not too long before we are back.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage, which was beautifully set out and in a lovely location with stunning views from the lounge and balcony. The welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits was a nice touch. Although this cottage was lovely, it did lack basic provisions that you normally have in a cottage of this price: No oven tray to cook with which meant we had to go shopping for one (not what you would expect when on holidays); No dishwasher tablets (even though the welcome book advised you to use the dishwasher tablets provided). Although there was dishcloths and washing up liquid, so this wasn't really an issue for us; No kitchen roll; Only 1 toilet roll; No towels (hand, bathroom or tea towels); No toiletries; No recycling provisions Despite the above, we had a lovely stay in this beautiful area, and would definitely recommend it to others.

    Our stay April, 2019

We booked Swallow Cottage for 4 nights from 8th April and we loved our stay. The cottage is located just outside of Port Isaac, a picture postcard village on the North Cornish Coast. The cottage was an upside down 2 bedroom cottage. The main bedroom is small but the bed is very comfy and the décor bright, tidy and in keeping with the surroundings. The 2nd bedroom had bunks and my 6 year old daughter loved the room and, of course, took the top bunk. The main living area is upstairs and the reason for that is clear as soon as you get upstairs as you have a wonderful view of the North Cornish coast spreading across to Tintagel island. The living area is open plan. The kitchen worked perfectly and the lounge area was comfortable. There is also a lovely balcony where the weather was warm enough to enjoy a drink outside. Lastly the upstairs was nice and lights and with the sun rising through windows and the Cornish sun rise was gorgeous. We loved Swallow Cottage and will be returning.

Lovely people ,very helpful with everything. We really enjoyed seeing the chickens and guinea-fowl running about and they gave us lovely fresh eggs. The weather was awful when we went and going straight in the door to the bedroom isn't very nice. We didn't like the ground floor at all. It was very cold and cold looking. . Everywhere was very clean but all needs painting ,new curtains ,new door to steps outside . No brush and pan for the kitchen so had to bring a heavy hoover upstairs to clean any crumbs etc. We didn't pay a lot, but there are other places similar prices and much nicer. So sorry ,you need to view it yourselves !
