These two super little properties are ideal for couples of all ages looking for a rural hideaway. Located midway between Boscastle and Tintagel, Swallow Cottage and The Old Workshop are lovely single-storey, detached holiday cottages. Light, bright and airy in decoration, they have been thoughtfully fitted and furnished to provide a comfortable base from which to explore this lovely part of Cornwall.
Formerly cattle stalls, Swallow Cottage offers a cosy wood burner and a full wall of French doors from the living area, boasting sweeping views across to Bodmin Moor in the distance, and leading to an enclosed patio area ideal for al fresco dining. The Old Workshop also offers patio doors leading from the open plan living space to a decked area, with far reaching views towards the sea.
The cottages enjoy shared access of the owners’ 10-acre grounds, where there are many walks available including through a secluded wood in the valley. The cottages are close to Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, Boscastle with its picturesque harbour, and Port Isaac, made famous by the TV series ‘Doc Martin’. Further up the coast are the lovely sandy surfing beaches of Crackington Haven and Bude. In the other direction, and equally as beautiful, are the beaches of Polzeath and Daymer Bay which are just past Port Isaac, on the way to Rock and the pretty fishing village of Padstow. Beach 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 4 guests.
