Lindum Leys - Facilities

Conveniently located for those looking to explore this beautiful county, this single-storey, semi-detached holiday property, adjoining the owner’s home, provides the perfect base. It lies just a few minutes from the heart of the historic town of Marazion, with St Michael’s Mount and wide beach of Mounts Bay. There are great road links with many different areas available within 30 minutes, including Penzance, Land’s End, the quaint villages of Mousehole and Newlyn, St Ives, Hayle and the wild surfing beaches of the North Cornish Coast. Equally close is the historic port of Porthleven with a great selection of restaurants, cafés, pubs and galleries. The wide stretch of beach at Praa Sands and Prussia Cove are just 2 miles down the road.

Spend the day in the ancient town of Helston, famous for its May Day Flora Dance, or the scenic Lizard Peninsula, the most southerly point of the British Isles. There is a pub within a short stroll serving local food and ales, as well as a fish and chip takeaway and the Rosudgeon Sports and Social Club which is open to non members. The area is popular with walkers and birdwatchers, with the renowned marshes at Marazion and Hayle estuary attracting birdwatchers from around the UK. Golf is available at Praa Sands, and there’s also cycle trails, fishing, art galleries and sub-tropical gardens nearby. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Lindum Leys - Reviews

  • Jayne - Bromsgrove 20th September 2019

    Our stay September, 2019

Very small bedroom and bathroom. Work being done to property next door which we was not warned about was noisy at times. Shower goes hot and cold when using, and we were not using kitchen equipment as instructed. No extra bedding had to ask for it. Very disappointed after reading excellent reviews.

Absolutely amazing week at Lindum Leys for our small family (couple and 12 Yr old daughter). Steve and Aly were wonderful hosts and their cottage was a pleasure to stay in. Shop, garage and places to eat on the doorstep and only 2 miles to a lovely family beach at Praa Sands. There is another beach even closer (Prussia cove is less than a mile away). Everything you could possibly need and more, the owners are right next door and are very nice indeed. Washer drier and dishwasher in the cottage, all of the linen and towels along with cleaning supplies were there for us. You don't need to pack anything. We were even treated to cream teas waiting for us... such a nice touch and couldn't have felt more welcome or comfortable. Parking outside is also a major plus in peak season. Highly recommended and we will definitely look to return. Thank you both.

Excellent holiday let. Modern, cosy, clean and everything you want from a great place to stay. Me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we'd most definitely come back again. Hosts were excellent as well. Couldn't fault any of it.

    Our stay July, 2019

The accommodation was very clean, well presented and comfortable. It was also very nice to find milk, tea and coffee as well as some scones and clotted cream as a welcome pack. The owners introduced themselves at the beginning of the stay and made us feel welcome throughout. With car parking just outside the front door as well as a picnic table we were able to breakfast in the sunshine every day before a simply shipping out for the day. With a local shop, a pub serving food and the local chippie within 100 yards it was an ideal spot for self catering as well as eating out. We would happily return.

    Our stay April, 2019

Good place to stay if you want to see surrender areas like St Ives, lizard point, land end, Marizone and few others. All above are in short driving distance up to 30min or less. Cottage was very clean and landlords leaving next door were very welcome and helpful. I hope that we didn’t incorrupt they quietness as we sit into long evening hours enjoying every minutes of our holiday.
