An Treveth Apartment - Facilities

This lovely ground floor apartment is situated in the harbour town of Newlyn, close to Penzance. Tucked away, it offers peace and tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Within a few minutes walk, you will find an abundance of restaurants, pubs, cafés and shops; if you enjoy fresh fish and seafood, you will be spoilt for choice freshly caught by local fishermen. The nearest beach is only a few yards away, the train station is 25 minutes walk and local buses run to Penzance and St. Ives, so you can use public transport and avoid the problems with parking. By prior arrangement, the owner is happy to pick you up from the train station.
For an adventure, catch the Scillonian Ferry to The Isles of Scilly, spend half your time in the capital of St. Mary’s and take a boat trip to Tresco. It is really like taking a step back in time, the islands have their own climates which you can see on Tresco when you visit the famous gardens. Also, check out the figureheads that have been rescued off the shipwrecks in the area. Another day out would be to drive 9 miles to Lands End, the most south-westerly tip of the country. Walk along the coast paths admiring the rugged views and the wildlife, visit Greebs farm, an original farmers cottage and feed the animals.
The indoor attractions are incredible, learn about King Arthur, visit the famous Lands End to John O’Groats signpost, wander around the shops and enjoy the choice of refreshments available. If you want to enjoy nature, there are plenty of coastal and inland footpaths to follow, popular with hikers and walkers. Next to Newlyn is the town of Penzance, with cobbled streets and windy roads; it is full of character, and there is an outdoor pool as well as a sandy beach. A little bit further along is the town of Marazion, full of local independent shops great for presents and souvenirs; here you will find the famous St. Michaels Mount. When the tide is out you can walk along the causeway to the Mount, visit the gardens, wander around the island and visit the restaurant. Beach 70 yards.
