Westville By The Stream - Reviews

  • Chris - Coton In The Elms, Swadlincote, 29th October 2019

    Our stay October, 2019

The cottage itself was very good, the bed was good, the decor was good, the bathroom was fantastic, the heating was poor, the kitchen area was good BUT, the kitchen sink is in a corner of the very limited work surface, my wife couldn't reach it properly, the utensils provided for cooking were virtually non existent. No roasting pans, one Stainless steel saucepan, two other so called non stick saucepans that were, in my opinion unhygienic. The fridge did not have a freezer compartment. So, really the only option would be to eat out. I could go on and on, but. We were booked in for a week but we left after two days and went home. Totally dis-satisfied

We had a great time at this venue. It was clean & welcoming. If you do not want to cook for yourself the Village inn is across the stream & they have an extensive menu. Hope to go back at sometime.

We had a lovely few days - the cottage was cosy and clean and gave us everything we needed. The weather was kind during the day which was great and my dogs loved it. Thank you

Lovely dog friendly cottage. Very clean, very well equipped. Visited Looe by train from Liskeard (get your ticket before getting on train) lovely place. Would recommend especially if you have a dog.

    Our stay September, 2019

Cottage was lovely had everything we needed, would definitely go back for a second visit. Only downside I would say is the WiFi isn’t great as it covers the whole site, so the signal isn’t great so we weren’t able to search places visit all that well.

The only comments I would like to make is there was no hoover to keep on top of the dog hair. Also Back area could do with a good jet wash to remove all green moss which was tread in the cottage if it was raining.

Good venue if prefer to be away from towns or large villages but is within reach of railway station (by car) Site very quiet in mid June, able to relax. Outdoor table and chairs for lunches/picnics
