This single-storey lodge is great for people of all ages and abilities. It is located on a quiet complex of similar lodges on the outskirts of Liskeard, close to Bodmin Moor. It has a modern interior and is well furnished. The double sleeper bunk bed makes a flexible sleeping arrangement to suit couples or those with children.
For the outdoor types there is walking close by on Bodmin Moor, including Minions, the highest village in Cornwall, The Hurlers stone circle and the Cheesewring natural rock formations. Also worth a visit are Sterts Theatre and Arts Centre, and the famous Carnglaze Caverns. There is horse riding nearby and golf courses within 20 miles, including the Jack Nicklaus course at St Mellion. There is also a sports and leisure centre with swimming pool, squash, indoor bowling, badminton and fitness suite, 5 miles away.
Nearby Siblyback Lake offers windsurfing, dinghy sailing, canoeing and fishing, and a lovely circular lakeside walk. On-site there is a bar and restaurant serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and with an extensive menu including children’s meals. It also hosts a large TV screen, patio area, pool room with dartboard and a wide range of tourist information and leaflets. Quiz nights and curry nights are held regularly during the high season. Beach 12 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub (open in main season only) and restaurant on-site.
