Moore Cottage - Facilities

Once the former village smithy, Moore Cottage is now a bright, spacious corner-attached holiday cottage, the perfect choice for family and friends at any time of year. It is located within the quiet hamlet of Woodford on the glorious north Cornish coast and just 2 miles away from the beach. The large dining room/kitchen is the heart of the home and the living room has a cosy woodburner to curl up beside on a chilly evening. Enjoy a summer barbecue in the pretty rear courtyard garden and with the benefit of a games room with table tennis and table football, there is something to keep everybody happy. Secluded coves and stunning coastal and country walks are abundant. Within a short drive are the pretty unspoilt NT beaches of Duckpool and Sandymouth. Nearby Bude has fantastic beaches with excellent surfing, pretty coves and dramatic coastal walks, along with shopping and leisure facilities, including 10-pin bowling, a wave pool, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Kilkhampton, 3 miles, has village shops, pubs, restaurant and takeaways. Tennis, horse riding, mountain boarding, surfing and fishing are all on offer nearby. The pretty fishing villages of Padstow, Port Isaac and Clovelly are well worth a visit and mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s Castle is close by. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy the nearby Tarka Trail. There are numerous NT properties in the area, as well as the RHS gardens at Rosemoor and Docton Mill. For family fun, the Big Sheep and Milky Way adventure parks are close by or for a great day out the famous Eden Project is an easy drive. Watersports within 5 miles. Beach 2 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Moore Cottage - Reviews

We had another lovely stay at Moore Cottage, it really is a home from home & beautifully clean. The games room is a definite bonus & kept everyone occupied when the weather took a turn for the worse! We’ve already booked again for next year & would recommend to others.

The cottage was lovely , but we didn’t really know the area so was a touch out of the way for us , but that’s our personal opinion , after a 7 hour drive a pint of milk left in the fridge would have been the icing on the cake . Rather than having to go find a shop , that really is the only criticism , and I would say a suggestion rather than criticism , and some toilet roll would have been great , never thought to bring as other cottages we have stayed in provided them for us to start with xx overall an cosy well equipped cottage , we had a lovely stay and felt very at home .

We had the best time at Moore Cottage, the owners have thought of everything that you would need. The cottage was immaculate and the games room was a real benefit I would highly recommend this property and will definitely book again.
