Miss Robinson's - Reviews

  • Sabine - St Ives 12th January 2020

    Our stay December, 2019

The cottage was situated near the path leading from Tregenna castle hotel through the park to the beach. 10 mins walk down. Because of the little garden and the trees hidden and cosy. Interior was very nice with stone walls and aesthetic furniture, but we had no possibility to open any windows in the sleeping rooms, so we never had fresh air there and everything got a bit damp. The staff was very nice .

    Our stay October, 2019

A very quaint cottage in a great location. Unfortunately we had to move from the cottage because there was a think layer of mould in the corner of the main bedroom and some in another bedroom. The mould had been there a long time, that amount could not develop over a few weeks. None of the windows in the house open so ventilation is not good. Whilst the furniture is adequate the radio didn't work and the wi-fi connection was very erratic. The cottage accommodates six people but there is only one small rail for a bath towel - what does one do with the other 5 towels? The second bathroom is actually a wet room, it is very small and once the shower has been used the toilet cannot be used and the floor stays wet for several hours. There is no wash basin in the wetroom, it is in the main bedroom which undoubtedly adds to the mould issue. If it were not for the mould and the health issues it caused this review would have been more positive.
