Lillys was a lovely spotlessly clean a well loved and cared for cottage. Positives were... A real home from home. Kitchen very well equipped. Bedding was lush, great quality. Loved the welcome pack of cream tea, wine and tea/coffee. Friendly owner living on site. Enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. Couple of downsides, wifi was erratic/very slow so couldn't take advantage of the smart tv in the cottage. (Fully appreciate this is nothing the owner has control over and I believe its common for Cornwall but wanted to make mention!) The bedroom ceilings were very sloped and narrow which restricted movement in the room they were photographed in the listing but worth mentioning as we were uncomfortable with them.

We had a great two week break with our Hound, very comfy cottage with all we needed. The treats left for us and our dog were very much appreciated along with the change of bedding and fluffy towels half way through our holiday.Very central for travelling around to see the sights. Spent a lot of afternoons on Sandymouth beach super Cafe and views even had a cooked breakfast there one morning.Visited the Eden Project, Lanhydrock House and garden, Widemouth Bay which is the closest beach to the cottage as well. There is a great local shop/post office about 5 minutes drive away if you turn left out of the drive with so much inside. We mainly shopped In Launceston where there is a great selection of supermarkets on the retail park near Tesco whilst combining walking the dog in the lovely park at the back of the Leisure centre which has its own parking. Also used the Butchers...Philip Warren on Pennygillam Way Industrial estate in Launceston with its own car park for Bacon,Sausages And steak. If you are interested in glass check out Jo Downs which is also on the same estate, a very talented lady, her factory/ shop is well worth a visit. Would thoroughly recommend Lilly’s.

What a great location to stay...It's not far from any of the coastal villages , the moors and all the sights we all want to visit. We went to lakes and country parks we didn't even know existed. After a busy day out you will find Lilly's is a very cosy cottage to return to in a peaceful location, with a lovely homely feel about it. It has all the equipment you will possibly need. Launceston is the nearby town and it has friendly charm to it.makw sure to visit Tavistock , also a lovely nearby town. Do visit the Rising Sun Pub as recommended by the owner if Lillys......Lovely food , great atmosphere. GREAT COTTAGE...GREAT LOCATION...LOVELY OWNER.....WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT?

Gorgeous cottage on a working farm. Owners - Vanessa & her husband were lovely, helpful. Left to our own devices - which we prefer - yet nearby if we needed anything. Vanessa welcomes guests, but she was very intuitive in picking up that we like to explore holiday homes unaccompanied. Welcome pack included a scones, jam, clotted cream, a lovely bottle of red wine & milk. Lilly's cottage is well kitted out with all modern appliances including a coffee machine, American sized fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher. Even the kitchen tiles were warm thanks to the underfloor heating. Got the log fire burning, so we were warm as toast. The dogs had towels, bowls & poo bags left for us to use. Beds were so comfy. I believe that was due to goose down. Lilly's is flooded with natural light and it was a joy staying there. If you're choosing a rural/farm location, you're going to have to drive to access local amenities. You're well catered for: approx 10 miles to big supermarkets, 5 miles or so to a Premier shop with cafe that does a sunday cavery. Bude was approx 20 mins drive away, and there's plenty of beaches & coves on the coastal road to Bude. We'd definitely stay at Lilly's cottage again.
