This spacious cottage, attached to the owner’s home, forms part of a 16th-century farmhouse and is the ideal choice for a peaceful holiday. It is located on the edge of the village of North Petherwin, close to the market town of Launceston and only 15 minutes from the north coast and its beaches. Launceston has shops, restaurants, a castle, steam railway, a leisure complex and golf course. Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor are close by and there are many attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Shop 5 miles, pub and restaurant 7 miles.

The cottage was very clean,comfortable and well equipped. Milk,tea bags and a wonderful lemon cake greeted us on our arrival, along with a warm welcome from the owners. Highly recommend this cottage.

What a fantastic cottage. The owners are so welcoming. Everything you could possibly need is available. Clean and spacious. Great location for A30 to travel to visit other places. Garden is stunning. Parking readily available. Quiet location. Would recommend to all.

The cottage was outstanding, very comfortable, well equipped and peaceful. Good location for coastal walks, Tintagel, Port Issac, Boscastle, Bude and Bodmin Moor. Launceston is a lovely town with a large Tesco, petrol station, Co-op etc.

Really lovely cottage (own garden came in very handy). Well equipped. The people who own the cottage live next door and value your privacy. Certainly wouldn't hesitate in booking this cottage again.

We had a wonderful holiday at Barton Cottage and really hope to return some day. The weather was not particularly good so we spent a lot of time just relaxing and playing board games. Everyone slept really well and the kids loved the window seats! A thoroughly charming cosy cottage with a lovely host who made us feel very at home. Batteries were fully recharged after this holiday. Convenient location to visit several sights but essentially escaping to the country, even disturbed 2 pheasants in the garden one morning which delighted the kids. You will not regret booking this little gem.
