Take the scenic coastal train from nearby St Erth to St Ives. The popular seaside town features a quaint harbour and glorious beaches. Budding artists and enthusiasts might like to visit the art gallery, Tate St Ives, or the Barbara Hepworth Museum. Strolling along its cobbled streets, you’ll find that St Ives is home to a host of curiosity shops and galleries. There’s also alfresco fine dining to try in one of the many excellent restaurants dotted along the water’s edge. The area is famous for its beautiful golden stretches, such as the award-winning beach at Carbis Bay, Porthminster and the rolling sand dunes at Hayle. This glorious surfing beach stretches all the way to Gwithian, and enjoys far-reaching views of Godrevy Lighthouse and out to sea.

Nearby, Tehidy Country Park boasts over 25 acres of woodland, cycle trails and bridle paths to explore. St Michael’s Mount is a must-see attraction during your stay. The small tidal island is close to Marazion, which is a hotspot for birdwatchers thanks to its habitat rich marshland just half a kilometre west of the historic town. Beach 2 miles.
