Located in the hamlet of Hatches Green on the outskirts of Gunnislake, Garden Cottage is a lovely detached holiday cottage set in the grounds of the owners’ home. Nestling amongst 2 acres of pretty primrose banks and wooded slopes, this is a nature lovers’ ideal spot. The location is perfect for walkers, with a barbecue and picnic table provided. Gunnislake is on the Tamar Estuary; the river that divides Devon and Cornwall, so exploring both counties is very easy from here. The village of Gunnislake has a post office and shops. Shop and restaurant 1 mile, pub ½ mile.

David and Anne are a lovely couple and were very welcoming. The scones , cream and jam were a very thoughtful welcome to staying at the cottage. It is in a great location for walking in Devon and Cornwall. In the description it says there is no WiFi, but unfortunately there was very little mobile signal either. We still had a great stay, but missed our connection.

A cosy, very well equipped cottage within 100yrds of a friendly, atmospheric pub. Great location for exploring the Tamar valley.
