Daffodil - Facilities

Tucked away in a little known and quite idyllic location in Cornwall, just a few miles from the town of Callington nestling in the valley below Bodmin Moor, is the village of Linkinhorne. A little rural piece of paradise hidden off the tourist routes. The village of Linkinhorne has a lovely pub less than 1 mile from these three cottages. Primrose and Snowdrop have been superbly converted from old stone barns and stand in the grounds of the owner’s 16th-century home yet both have a degree of privacy, each with a fully enclosed patio garden, and there is a wildlife pond with running water and an adjoining picnic area in the grounds. Snowdrop has been specifically designed to cater for those who use wheelchairs with little or no assistance required. Daffodill is a fabulous, detached, architect-designed barn conversion which has two spacious bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms, and a lovely oak timber living room with large glazed windows overlooking the tranquil garden and meadow beyond. Daffodil is the perfect quiet spot to totally chill and relax in rural Cornwall, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Complete with underfloor heating, a wood burner for those chillier evenings and sumptuous furnishings, this property is an absolute delight. Dogs are most welcome here and the friendly owners who live to the rear of the holiday cottages are most accommodating. For the keen walkers there is an abundance of walking trails around the area or a little further afield in just under an hour you could visit both North and South Cornish coast lines. STERTS open-air theatre is just a short drive from the cottages, a fabulous place to visit to watch a play or listen to poetry or music, set high up on the edge of the Bodmin Moor. Beach 20 miles. Shop and restaurant 4 miles, pub serving food 1¼ miles.
Primrose, Snowdrop and Daffodil can be booked together to accommodate up to 12 guests.

Daffodil - Reviews

  • Adam - London 26th August 2019

    Our stay August, 2019

We loved Daffodil. Lovely cottage in a quiet pretty location. Kids loved seeing the pony, chickens and playing with the cats. The owner is really helpful too - gave us lots of tips of places to go

Amazing location with stunning views. So peaceful. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was there wasn’t enough equipment for us all e.g. bowls and mugs and no oven gloves. Loved the fact that in the games barn there was spare windbreaks, buckets, spades etc.

We had a very good time at cottage Daffodil! The cottage itself is really pleasant, clean and cosy. Everything you need is inside, even tablets for the dishwasher. We enjoyed the surroundings and Cornwall in general. There was so much to do that we even had to skip some of our plans. So, we have to come back;-)
