This pretty, detached bungalow sits in a peaceful location just 200 yards from the wide sandy beach at Widemouth Bay. Chycot is perfect for a family or couples looking for a wonderful beachside location, as it is just a short walk to Widemouth Bay beach and Black Rock area of Widemouth Bay.
All on one level, the interior is well-presented with wooden floors throughout the living space and a large enclosed garden perfect for a lazy breakfast whilst you plan your day. Widemouth Bay offers beautiful, sweeping sandy beaches, suitable for families to enjoy rock-pooling, swimming and surfing. Enthusiastic walkers can take advantage of the miles of coastal paths available to explore all that the area has to offer. There are lovely restaurants, cafés, pubs and a small village shop with fresh locally caught fish shop all within walking distance.
Just 3 miles from the centre of Bude with its glorious sandy beaches, historic castle and vibrant town centre, you will find a vast array of good restaurants and bars, along with stunning coastal and canal walks. For golfers, The Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club, one of Cornwall’s finest is here, tennis, horse riding, mountain boarding, surfing, and fishing are all on offer. Why not visit The Splash Leisure Centre, with an indoor swimming pool and ten-pin bowling alley, and the internationally acclaimed annual jazz festival is not to be missed.
The pretty fishing villages of Padstow, Port Isaac and Rock are well worth a visit and mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s Castle is close by. The wild beauty of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moors are a must for walkers and for a great day out Crealy Adventure Park, Newquay Zoo and the famous Eden Project, are all within easy driving distance. Fantastic quiet location really close to the bay and with easy access to the coast path. The house had everything that we needed and the hosts were really helpful.

The bungalow wasn't cleaned properly, dog hairs in the bed and floors not clean. It would have been perfect as the location and property was great but was let down by not being clean. We came home a day early because it wasn't clean and not good when you have 2 kids.

Chycot is in a great location, walking distance to a couple of stunning beaches, two restaurants and a couple of cafes. It has a well stocked local shop a short walk away also. The bungalow is well appointed, clean and comfortable and the welcome warm. You can drive easily to several popular places to visit and the scenery is beautiful. We would recommend this place and would come again.

We had a great time despite the bad weather. Plenty to see and do within a 45 minute drive. When the sun did show itself, you have the luxury of being only a 5 minute walk from a beautiful beach. Cakes and wine on arrival which went down very well! Thanks Zoe

Great holiday let in super location just a short walk through to coastal road and then a choice of going on the beach or walks either way up or down the coast. Also, good access to all of North Cornwall. We wouldn't hestitate to consider rebooking if travelling to this part of Cornwall.
