Camellia Cottage, once part of a country hotel, is an ideal holiday home for families or couples seeking somewhere to relax and get away from it all, yet be in an ideal location to explore an area referred to as the Cornish Riviera. This semi-detached property, in the grounds of the owners’ home, has a large roof terrace that is accessed from the living area, and provides the perfect spot to relax whilst overlooking the green fields that surround the cottage. Making up part of a former country hotel, set in a large garden, Bluebell is a single-storey terrace holiday home which makes the perfect bolt-hole for two, boasting an open plan living space and cosy bedroom.

If you can draw yourself away from this idyllic spot, then the area is rich and diverse in tourist attractions, both natural and man-made. The area has some beautiful sandy beaches in pretty coves, which are backed by pretty cliffs, providing the perfect family day out. The village of St Ewe with its own local pub is close by and for more choice, the fishing village of Mevagissey with its working harbour, narrow streets, fisherman’s pubs and cafés is a short drive.
With cliff walking, kayaking along the River Fowey, sailing and sea fishing from one of the many fishing villages close by, Camellia Cottage really is in the ideal location to enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer.
Caerhays Castle, and Porthluney Beach, are two beautiful little beaches that provide the perfect place for a moonlit stroll, or somewhere to practise building sandcastles with your little ones. A similar distance away will bring you to the world famous Lost Gardens of Heligan, the quaint fishing port of Mevagissey and the Georgian Port of Charlestown . Further afield is the Eden Project, the capital city of Truro, St Mawes and the surfing beaches of Newquay.
The South Cornwall coast is home to many National Trust houses and gardens, which provide superb days out for all. Golf, horse riding, cycle hire and off road trails for walking and riding are all available close by. Beach 4 miles. Shop 1¾ miles, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.

These properties can be booked together to sleep up to 6 guests.

    Enjoyed our stay. Excellent choice

Clean & comfortable cottage with good parking area. Well run by very pleasant family. Facilities & equipment were very good except the cooker was not the easiest to use, over complicated. Excellent fridge/freezer. Well positioned for Eden project & Lost Gardens of Heligan. Would definitely recommend for a couple wanting to stay in that area.

Excellent cottage. Two small gripes, some noise from the occupants who were in the cottage above us, (not excessive ) and drainage smell outside the cottage at times ( could not smell the drains inside) probably due to the location. A little difficult to locate at first, sat nav telling us to do a u-turn when on the correct road. Just follow the signs for the vineyard then you will find the cottage. Spotlessly clean, comfy bed. Very generous welcome pack. Good location for visiting places such as Eden Project, Charlestown ( where some scenes from Poldark were filmed.) ST Ives and Lost Gardens Of Heligan. Roads can be a little interesting, just drive carefully. Owners very nice and did not bother us, told us to let them know if we needed anything. We enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Having been in the hospitality and accommodation industry for many years Bluebell and our hosts score 10 out of 10 on every level. A great location to base yourself and explore this most beautiful part of Cornwall. The garden at Bluebell was a perfect place to relax in the sun after trips out. Bluebell is ideally sized and equipped for a couple, the welcome pack was a masterpiece everything you could possibly need and more! Thank you again for a very memorable and relaxing holiday, you all made us so very welcome.

Our hosts were really welcoming and helpful. The welcome pack was much more than we had expected. The cottage was just right for two people and the garden was lovely. It was really relaxing and made an ideal base for exploring. It was spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need and we would certainly recommend it to anybody.
