Located near to a cluster of properties at the bottom of a beautiful wooded valley this nicely converted light and airy former stable block provides modern and comfortable accommodation. The entrance door leads into the open plan living area with its easy chairs, TV and DVD player, from the living area a step down leads to the kitchen and dining area the stable doors can be opened in this area to provide a fantastic view enhanced by the floor to ceiling windows and glass door across the valley. The living area also provides access up a couple of steps to the shower room which is fitted with modern shower and toilet. The galleried sleeping area is accessed by a single flight of stairs from the living rea where there is a kingsize bed, chest of drawers and clothes rail and this room has good views up the valley. To the side of the property is the utility room with washing machine and this room is very useful for drying clothes. There is parking in front of the property and use of a lawn to the side and the orchard to the rear, guests are also able to use the two fields over the lane to the rear of The Stables.
By road both Carne and Pendower beaches are ½ mile away as is the renowned Nare Hotel with the Quaterdeck restaurant. The Stables are only 1-mile from the popular village of Veryan. The village is well supplied with a local store and post office. The local pub offers a warm welcome with fine food and drink. The old fishing village of Portloe with the local hotel and pub is only a 5-minute drive away. Following the footpath along side the stream Pendower beach is only some 900 yards away. Veryan is a popular location as it is near the South West Coast Path a route for keen walkers in Cornwall on the Roseland Peninsula. It also has some 1½ miles of coast with sandy beaches notably Carne Pendower East and West Portholland beaches. The village also has a sports pavilion with provision for tennis, cricket, bowls and a children’s playground. There is also an indoor bowls club. Carne Beacon can also be open to the public if a pre-booking appointment is made.
