Swallows Drift - Facilities

Welcome to Swallows Drift, an enchanting retreat nestling within stunning countryside. As the name suggests you share this wonderful place with the dance of the swallow in summer, as well as owls, buzzards and pheasants. From your allocated parking space, you have outstanding views across rolling hills and fields and an almost tangible sense of tranquil relaxation. Steps or a ramp lead up to your first floor holiday home, a meticulously renovated barn loft conversion set on one level. There is a large, bright open plan, kitchen, dining room and living room with beautiful beams rising tall above you. The kitchen is well equipped, and with a blue and cream colour scheme whilst there is an inviting sofa and dining table with views out from patio doors. There is a lovely gas fired wood burner and an excellent 43 inch TV with Netflix and Sky and super-fast Wi-Fi. The spacious bedroom with kingsize bed provides the ideal area to enjoy a restful sleep whilst the shower room has a large shower. Outside is your own private patio, perfect for a little al fresco dining, morning coffee or perhaps a favourite beverage at the end of a busy day exploring, with a star-studded sky above you once the sun drops below the horizon. The celestial views are truly incredible.

There are two areas on the ground level with picnic style benches. The owners would like you to also enjoy their 4-acre field, with a walk around its perimeter and punctuated by gorgeous Cornish apple trees. Just 8 miles from the vibrant town of Newquay with its collection of fantastic beaches, including the iconic Fistral Beach, many shops and restaurants, you are perfectly placed to visit some of the best coastal destinations in the county. A short drive away is Padstow, famous for its buzzing quay and celebrity chef inspired restaurants, narrow streets revealing boutique shops and art galleries. South East takes you to St Austell, with subtle reminders from its once thriving mining industry, whilst the picturesque coastal port of Fowey is a must visit, or you could stop off at the country wildlife site nearby. Please note that due to this countryside location you are surrounded by farmland and occasional noise from tractors or harvesters may be heard.
