Great cottage in a great location. Rural, but close enough to amenities and the best of the surrounding area.

We liked the cottage. Warm and comfortable. Simply but tastefully furnished. Very good location with walks from the door. Good facilities in St Just. Friendly owner.

This is a very comfortable, clean and relaxing place to stay. We loved everything about it. The garden was ideal for my 2 dogs. It was well stocked with everything we needed and a lovely welcome pack waiting for us. It was great to meet Melanie and she made us feel most welcome. We loved the animal neighbours. The location was ideal for us. To sum it up. Perfect.

Lovely area, barn is in need of updating, some of the furniture is dated, and a refresh needed. The bedrooms get light very early as curtains are thin. It’s a nice barn, but expensive for the standard of furnishings. Having said all that we would return as we love this area of Cornwall .

Porth Nanven Barn is a perfect base for exploring West Cornwall. It is cosy, clean and well-equipped, with a lovely sun-trap garden which is genuinely secure - even for our Houdini-dog!

  • Mr - Conwy 2nd July 2019

    Our stay June, 2019

We had a delightful stay in Porth Nanven Barn. The cottage was very clean and well furnished with a relaxed atmosphere. There are numerous walks direct from the door and St Just is just a short walk away for supplies. We were made very welcome by the owners who, whilst being available, were not intrusive. The back garden is sheltered and perfect for al-fresco dining. All in all, a lovely cottage to relax in.

We’ve stayed at Porth Nanven many many times (lost count tbh). There’s a reason we keep coming back. It offers everything you’d want and more.

  • David - Ross On Wye 23rd March 2019

    Our stay March, 2019

Very comfortable cottage: very dog friendly particularly the garden, although people using path through car park can cause a distraction. Local amenities in St Just adequate, although parking problematic. Excellent base for local walks and for those with geological or mining interests.
