Porhellik - Facilities

Sitting in a sheltered valley just minutes from the golden beach, this contemporary, eco-friendly, semi-detached holiday home has been thoughtfully designed to provide comfortable and green holiday accommodation. It has also been awarded a Visit Britain 4* grading and a gold award. The property has a place to store wetsuits and there are metal loops in the wall to secure bikes. The coastal village of Porthtowan has a rugged feel with cliff-top walks, a golden dune-backed beach and walks along the coastal path. There is a fantastic bar situated directly on the sand, which has live music and great food. Two surf shops provide water-based entertainment with tuition and hire, a great way to spend a day before the evening sets in for that al fresco dinner on the terrace of Porhellik. Locally, you will find Tehidy Country Park, a large wooded estate perfect for walks and cycling, with bike hire close by. Golf, horse riding, surfing and kayaking are all available nearby. A little further west, a short drive along a beautiful coastal road will bring you to St Ives, home to galleries, beaches, shops and restaurants. Beach ½ mile. Shop and pub serving food ½ mile.

Porhellik - Reviews

Another wonderful stay at Porhellik! The property is perfectly sized and equipped for our family of 2 adults and 4 boys (13, 10, 7 & 5 yrs). Porthtowan is a great location and the house is 5 mins walk to the lovely beach. The village is small, with two friendly pubs and a couple of shops, which we prefer and a good starting point for some beautiful coastal walks.

great accommodation, do think you need to mention up a steep incline, one of my group has crippling arthritis so was unable to walk into porthtowen. Also car parking, thankfully there car park was empty as there was no way we could get both out cars in one space. The house was fantastically well equipt, very comfortable and clean. we had a great time, the unicorn pub was great as was the victory.

Porhellik is a lovely property that has everything you could need for your holiday. The beach is only a short walk and is absolutely stunning. There are lots of great places to visit with not too far to travel. We would highly recommend this holiday destination ☺️

Just superb. A lovely place, in a great setting. Superbly well equipped with everything you could possibly need, clearly well thought through and considerate of previous customers feedback. Clean, comfortable, and with the beach and coast path right on the doorstep, no need to play car park games which in August in Cornwall is a big consideration! The tea, coffee and biccies on arrival along with the voucher for the local pub were great additional touches. Will certainly stay here again.
