Lower Lodge - Facilities

Within the owners’ grounds lies Lower Lodge, a superb granite stone house with a plethora of original features, including a wonderful fireplace, range stove and farmhouse style windows.
Lower Lodge has a super kitchen, with range stove, centre island, beams, and character in abundance! A conventional cooker is also thoughtfully provided! From here you will find the living room, instantly inviting and with stone fireplace and relaxing furniture. Upstairs are three bedrooms. Bedroom one has a kingsize bed, TV and views of woodland, hills and the garden area. Bedroom two is a twin room, an airy and bright space. Bedroom three has a bunk bed, always popular with children! Find a lovely conservatory, where morning breakfast can be enjoyed and a private garden space with furniture. Thoughtfully provided is an outside building, with shower for removing mud and sand from both you and your four-legged friend! There is plenty of parking for three cars. Lower Lodge is truly a taste of Cornwall to enjoy and remember.
Situated adjacent to Wheal Martyn Clay Works and Museum, you are transported back through time, instantly leaving the hustle and bustle of daily life behind you. From here you can explore St Austell with its many shops and amenities, or wonder along golden beaches, with hidden coves and inlets linked to smugglers past! The world-renowned Eden Project, with its unique world beneath huge Biomes, is just a short drive away, whilst Luxulyan Country Valley Park, a world UNESCO site gives many glimpses into the once huge mining heritage. Visit Charlestown, where many films and TV series are made, owing to it’s original quay and association with Tall Ships. Here a museum, superb restaurants and pubs make for a fabulous day out. If something more atmospheric is desired, Bodmin Moor with incredible natural rock sculptures and ancient connections will surely appeal, with views for miles and miles and miles……. Then there is Padstow, with it’s busy little quayside and outstanding restaurants, offering the best seafood culinary delights. You can access national cycle network directly from house. For cycling enthusiasts, hire a bicycle and ride the length of The Camel Trail, 18 miles of breath-taking scenery to inspire and invigorate!
