Hobbits - Facilities

This delightful, 18th-century cottage is only 60 yards from sandy beaches and enjoys some sea views over Mount’s Bay, home to the iconic St. Michael’s Mount . The Mount rises out of the sea and is topped by its magnificent castle which can be reached on foot at low tide, otherwise by small boat. The cottage stands on the main street of the ancient market town of Marazion, the ideal location for family holidays with safe beaches and watersports including windsurfing, paddle-boarding, kite-surfing and sailing. There are shops, pubs and restaurants within yards and nearby are cliff-top walks and excellent bird-watching at Marazion Marshes RSPB reserve. Penzance, 3 miles, is a relaxed town with many amenities and helicopter or boat trips to the Isles of Scilly. Shops 200 yards.

Hobbits - Reviews

  • Rrj - Worcestershire 7th November 2019

    Our stay November, 2019

A wonderful cosy cottage with fresh flowers & cream tea on arrival. In a perfect location for walking, sightseeing or simply relaxing. Owner Lorraine ensures everything is perfect, nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend.

  • Martin - Greenwich 23rd October 2019

    Our stay October, 2019

It is an excellent holiday cottage, just a few yards from the sea. The house was spotlessly clean, had every item that anyone could possibly need and some very nice special touches. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful and overall this was a perfect holiday break .... apart from the rain ! We will definitelt be recommending it to any family and friends who want a break in that part of Cornwall.

    Our stay September, 2019

Enjoyed staying at Hobbits had everything you needed ..The only annoying part was hearing the people in the next door cottage the walls must be very thin could hear all there conversations and moving about that cottage was also owned by the same people who owned hobbits .

  • Donna - Birmingham 3rd November 2019

    Our stay August, 2019

We were made to feel so welcome when we arrived. Lorraine, the owner had cleaned the cottage to a high standard. She left lovely homely touches like Scones, milk, shampoo and soap to name a few. Netflix for our 5 and 8 year old boys was a godsend on the rainy days. Lorraine was not intrusive but there if we needed anything. Our 5 year old son left one of his toys behind and Lorraine kindly posted it back. Highly recommend the Hobbits for cleanliness, location and local amenities available.

Very comfortable and well equipped. Situated about 100 yds from the beach. Our second time now in these cottages. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for a couple or small family.

  • Judy - Worcestershire 4th May 2019

    Our stay May, 2019

Our favourite place to visit & stay. The cottage is beautifully kept & Lorraine the owner is the perfect hostess, flowers & scones await your arrival. Lorraine’s always on hand if needed but never intrusive & her knowledge of the local area ensures we always find new places to explore. Highly recommended, just perfect.
