Farrier Cottage - Reviews

    Our stay September, 2019

A nice cottage, however its becoming a bit worn and tired in places and needs a bit of TLC now. Ie Bathroom, Light not working outside, light not working by mirror. And for the money paid for a weeks stay I would have expected better. Charge for dogs of £10 per dog per night is rather allot especially when you have 2 dogs. Other properties in Cornwall charge a maximum of £25 per night or free of charge. For this reason we wont be re-booking again at Farrier Cottage which is a real shame.

    Our stay June, 2019

The cottage was just the job for two people. Comfortable, reasonably equipped and roomy enough. The place was spotless and the mattress was firm which suited us. The shower was adequate but was tricky to get right and not very powerful. The hotel it is attached to was quite old fashioned which you will either like or not. We didn’t eat there so cannot comment on the food. The surrounding grounds were lovely. The location is quite a bit out of Falmouth but a taxi is less than a tenner and there is a bus 5 minutes walk away. Also 15 minutes away is a great pub. Good food, busy and very friendly. A shop too so what more do you need? This is a good place and I recommend it. If you’re into dogs you can bring them. If you’re not then the slight doggy smell might be slightly off putting. But it went over a couple of days (or we got used to it) so not a show stopper. The price is ok. You get what you pay for and I’d happily repeat the experience. We had a lovely time. Hope this review helps.
