61 is a lovely holiday home set in the gorgeous area of Pentire in Newquay. Ideal for exploring this most beautiful part of Cornwall, with some of the best beaches in the whole of the UK including Fistral Beach, famous for being the home of British surfing, hosting events throughout the year.
The south west coastal path will lead you around Newquay and the surrounding areas, where you can admire truly stunning views of this coastline. Here you are perfectly situated for exploring Newquay town centre with its abundance of shops, restaurants and bars. Visit some of the local attractions including Newquay Zoo, The Lighthouse Cinema, The Blue Reef Aquarium and Pirate’s Quest to name but a few. 61 is situated just a 30-minute drive from Cornwall’s capital Truro, the only city in the county. It has everything you would expect from a modern city including great shopping, lots of entertainment as well as a blossoming food and drink scene. With a four-screen cinema, art galleries, the impressive Royal Cornwall Museum, The Hall for Cornwall that hosts wonderful theatre productions and shows, and the iconic and remarkable cathedral that stands proudly in the centre of the city, you will never be short of activities and places to explore.
Should you wish to venture further afield, you are in the perfect central location to explore by car. Head to Falmouth with its prestigious marinas, harbours and stunning array of restaurants, cafés and shops. The National Maritime Museum, Events Square and Pendennis Castle are open to the public daily with activities throughout the year. The area has many beautiful sub-tropical gardens including Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissick. Perranporth, Padstow, St Ives, Looe, Polperro and Port Isaac are all within easy reach by car, as well as the world-famous Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Beautiful beaches on both the north and south coasts, fishing villages, coastal walks, cycling, fishing, golf, and a plethora of National Trust properties and grounds are all on the doorstep of this delightful house.
