Treyarnon - Reviews

  • Rowena - Leicester 18th October 2019

    Our stay October, 2019

This is our second visit to this location and the first one in this bungalow. Brilliant location great sunset views from the window overlooking the sea. Two double bedrooms ( found mattresses a little on the very firm side) plenty of hanging storage space, lovely big bathroom with wet room style shower. Well equipped kitchen perfect for our requirements. St Merryn is only a couple of minutes away. Handy shop, petrol stn, bakery, chip shop, I can recommend the Farmers Arms for food - very friendly dogs very welcome, nice home cooked food ample portions. Constantine Bay is just perfect for the beach and take the coast path round to the left as you enter the beach ( keep your dogs on a lead up there due to the cliffs) but makes for spectacular view across to a Treyarnon Bay good for photographers. Holidays homes are in the perfect location to get onto the Atlantic Highway which takes you north or south and you can get everywhere a lot quicker than you think. Padstow is only a short drive and I can recommend walking around the harbour towards the Rock Ferry point there is a great coffee shop there dogs welcome - lovely to sit in the bay window and watch the world walk by. Love Cornwall and this is a great spot in which to base yourself 5*****

It was excellent, since my wife has mobility issues it was ideal. I will recommend this place highly and especially for persons with disabilities there are no steps and the bathroom is a wet room.

    Our stay September, 2019

Treyarnon has the best sunset views of all the cottages on this complex - the front room is west facing so you get an uninterrupted view. As a young family travelling with a toddler and a baby I would not recommend this particular cottage purely down to the fact that there is no washing machine, bath or radiator. This makes keeping on top of laundry incredibly difficult when you want to spend as much of your holiday as possible out and about during the day and not in the Seagull tourist park next door. There is a washing machine on this complex and one tumble dryer but this was £1 for 15 minutes drying time so would work out quite expensive to use. Information about local laundrettes would be useful for other guests, or perhaps a spin dryer? The cottage was clean and well presented, easy to find and a good location for exploring Padstow, Newquay and the surrounding beaches. If you don't have kids in tow then it's a perfect place to base yourself.

An excellent location for our favourite area of the north Cornish coast. Well equipped and cosy, dog friendly in a peaceful location. Short drive to the village and beaches.
