With a backdrop of countryside and one of the largest wooded areas in Cornwall, this charming, detached, elegantly furnished holiday cottage has been thoughtfully finished to a high standard with antique furnishings. The property has a large garden, backing onto farmland with lovely views. The owner provides a welcome pack for all customer, this includes a bottle of wine, bacon, sausages, eggs, bread, fresh cream and milk, scones, homemade jam, biscuits, sweets and a dog pack. Oak Dene is situated close to the historic town of Bodmin and the wonderful grounds of Llanhydrock House. Cardinham Woods is a short walk from the property offering nature trails, cycle track and picturesque walks. Shops and pubs 2 miles.

Highly recommended. Oakdene is our most favourite place to stay in Cornwall. Its location is perfect for exploring the entire area, including surfing beaches. The cottage is fitted to a high standard with excellent provisions and amenities. There is a beautiful front garden with summer house, large back garden with the most amazing views. We stayed with our 2 dogs and they have never been so worn out! Such a lovely area to go on long days out with your four legged friend. The cottage is spotless and a nice selection of treats await you when you arrive, including a clotted cream tea! The building itself is stunning and such a pleasure to spend time. We will definitely be returning.

This was our 5th visit to third delightful cottage. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. It is very central to all amenities and also close to the main road which makes it convenient for exploring Cornwall. There is plenty of parking and an enclosed back garden which is ideal for children and dogs. The cottage is quiet and peaceful and could be situated in the middle of the country. The owner is Pinky , she is so lovely and the family are easily contacted in case of any issues . There is always a warm welcome and loads of little gifts in the cottage, they even stock the fridge with neccessities . A great cottage we can't wait to return.

We had a great time at Oak Dene and look forward to staying again! It is in an excellent location for relaxing, walking, exploring and whatever else.. Bodmin is a 5-10 minute drive making local shops more than accessable, although we were provided with everything you need for the first few days. Oak Dene is lovely and private and our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed the large enclosed garden. We would like to thank Pinky for the warm welcome and ensuring this property exceeds expectations.

Views from the windows are solace to the soul. We were mesmerized by the beauty here. The cottage is everything we hoped and the generous welcome Afternoon Tea and Breakfast for the following morning were very much appreciated! Our Labradors absolutely loved the garden.
