This spacious, detached holiday home, set within ¾ of an acre, sits in one of the most enviable locations on the beautiful South Cornwall Coast. The small hamlet of Portmellon is just a short stroll along the cliff path from Mevagissey, and is a secluded hideaway with stunning views across the bay and along the coast. The beach is a short stroll down the lane and provides all that guests will need for that special family day including swimming and rock pooling. A short walk along a track from the house leads to Chapel Point, a small headland with a quiet secluded beach, a ‘local secret’. The Cornish Coastal Path passes close to the house and leads to the villages of Gorran Haven to the west and Mevagissey to the east. The beaches of Portmellon and Gorran Haven have free boat launching and Bosprennis has ample space to store your boat. The area lends itself to exploring Cornwall as Portmellon is situated close to the Roseland Peninsula and the Lost Gardens of Heligan with its local farm shop, just a few miles away, as is the world famous Eden Project. Explore fine old country houses and gardens, some of the country’s finest are all within easy driving distance, together with some wonderful beaches, many of which are almost totally unchanged and look as they must have done in times gone by. The pretty villages of St Mawes, Tregony and Veryan are all close by. Truro, Cornwall’s capital, is easily reached and still has an old world charm with narrow cobbled streets and individual shops, a wide range of restaurants, theatre and cinema. Sailing, fishing, horse riding, golf, kayaking and sightseeing boat trips are all available close by. Shop ½ mile, pub 500 yards. This property can be booked with The Gallery (TOT) to accommodate up to 10 guests.
Excellent cottage and very good communications with owner. The cottage is in very good condition and looks like the photos.
Our time spent at ‘Bosprennis’ was wonderfully stressless and relaxing. Everything we needed was supplied. The cottage was exceptionally clean, spacious and exactly as described in the booking details. The beds were soft and comfy. The area has a lot to offer and is a great location for day trips out. Highly recommend and will certainly return in the future!
Great views and position. Unfortunately Could not make use of excellent outside facilitiesdue to poor weather. Very clean good furnishings and owner welcoming. Would recommend.
This was a beautiful house. Views fantastic. Furniture outside high standard as is all the furniture in the house. Extremely clean property best I have been to. Plenty of dishes and glasses. We all felt very at home.
Outstanding in all respects.
Beautiful house with the most magnificent view which you could just sit a watch for hours. Very helpful host, cream tea on arrival was a lovely treat.
Fantastic view across the bay and beautiful sunsets. Bosprennis is well situated, local pub and Megavissy within easy walk and coastal walks to hidden coves. Comfortable and clean with good amenities with a friendly host, would definitely recommend.
Beautiful landscape, breath taking view, very friendly hosts! A vacation at its best to recreate and relax! 100% recommended!
A beautiful place to stay ,amazing views and a good location not to far from Mevagissey harbour about 25 minute walk .The lost Gardens of Heligan are about 15 minute drive .The cottage was well equipped and the owner very friendly and helpful .The cream tea provided on arrival was a lovely gesture and was very good . I would definitely stay there again .
Bosprennis was a beautiful holiday home to stay in. The balcony provided the most amazing sea view whilst the inside of the house remained spacious and inviting. The beds were some of the most comfortable I've ever stayed in and the facilities provided were perfect. Michael welcomed us (and provided cream tea, which was delcious) and ran through everything we may have needed. Theres a lovely pub not a ten minute walk away and a nice harbour just a little further out. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely book again!
We had a lovely stay at Bosprennis. Michael was really friendly and helpful. We received a delicious cream tea on arrival which was a nice touch. The house has everything you need for a wonderful stay and was spotlessly clean. The views from the decking are beautiful and the pictures don't do it justice.
This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location which feels modern and cosy. I’ve been missing the view ever since I got home! Michael couldn’t have been a more accommodating and helpful owner, he really went above and beyond. Would recommend the beach at chapel point for tranquility and the beach at Gorran Haven for kids. The walk from the cottage to Gorran Haven along the coastal path is not to be missed if you are relatively fit.
Fabulous holiday accommodation If the weather is good to you while you are staying brilliant but plenty of activity in the home . Second time staying there very happy to recommend Bosprennis for a holiday.
Beautiful holiday home furnished to a very high standard. Fabulous sea views. Home from home.
Our stay February, 2020
Comfortable and well equipped property with stunning views and excellent walking from the door. Owners met us on arrival and were very hospitable, and were contactable by phone if required. As a party of 2 couples we had plenty of room to spread out and the kitchen diner was a great sociable space. The pub down the hill was excellent. 2 things that could be added to the description are that although dog friendly property the garden is shared, and has no enclosed area so always on a lead in the garden, and the en-suite to master bedroom is in an alcove and has no door which some guests may find less than ideal.
